The agreement between you and Long Life Friends Charity when you use our website, purchase, donate, receive services, or subscribe to our SMS program.
By accessing or using longlifefriends.org ("Site") or engaging with our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
Long Life Friends Charity is a California nonprofit public benefit corporation providing immediate response, advocacy, donation collection, community pickup services, a charity auction, an online shop, and real-estate/asset gift programs (IRS Section 170 Bargain Sale).
Donations are generally non-refundable. Contact help@longlifefriends.org promptly if a donation was made in error. Tax-deductibility depends on your specific situation and applicable law; consult your tax advisor. Receipts are available upon request.
All purchases through the Site (including #Shop2HelpOthers and celebrity auction lots) are made under these Terms. Free U.S. shipping applies on orders of three (3) or more items where indicated.
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or cancellations on purchases unless an item arrives damaged or defective, in which case contact us within seven (7) days of delivery at help@longlifefriends.org. Auction lots are sold as-is.
Consent to receive marketing texts is not a condition of any purchase, donation, or of receiving assistance from us.
If you opt in to our SMS program by checking the SMS consent box on our forms, you agree to receive automated marketing and promotional text messages from Long Life Friends Charity at the mobile number you provided. Messages may include offers, auction announcements, event invitations, campaign updates, and service messages such as pickup confirmations and donation receipts.
Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Consent is per-form: opting in on one form does not opt you in on another.
Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or SMS consent with third parties for marketing. We do not text anyone who contacts us regarding crisis situations. Full program details are on our SMS Consent page.
State-specific rules apply. Where applicable, we honor state-mandated sending hours and extended opt-out retention windows (including but not limited to Connecticut, Virginia, Oklahoma, and Washington).

THE SITE AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LONG LIFE FRIENDS CHARITY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND VOLUNTEERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE OR SERVICES.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Long Life Friends Charity from any claim arising out of your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Site.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
